Supraspinatus Tendinitis

T1 weighted coronal image with magnification view of supraspinatus tendon showing considerably increased intrasubstance signal and thickening of the critical zone. This is also evident on the STIR sequence. There is no disruption of the humeral or bursal surface fibres. In this case there is no bursal inflammation and the acromion and AC joint are normal.
