Bone Bruise

The following is an example of bone bruising in the tip of the clavicle (collar bone) in a patient who had tripped and sustained an injury to the point of their shoulder. The images show severe bone bruising limited to the tip of the clavicle with minor adjacent soft tissue oedema. The scan excluded fracture and deeper bony or soft tissue injury. The acromioclavicular (AC) joint is not disrupted.
