Diffuse Interstitial ACL Tear

The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is diffusely swollen and of increased signal throughout,  more marked at the femoral attachment. The fibres however continue to parallel the intercondylar notch and no accessory signs of an ACL tear were present. The appearance are those of a diffuse interstitial tear.
